Halloween is fast approaching, and residents looking for some frightful fun to get in the right mood can enjoy some scares this weekend while supporting a good cause in Eganville.
The Haunted Walk at Lekbor Manor opens Friday evening with spooks and scares for residents to enjoy for the next few weeks as we march closer and closer to All Hallows Eve.
Organizer Kelly Kumm says the idea for the event came from a love of the season.
The event kicks off on October 16th from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., with more haunted walk opportunities available in the same time frame on October 17th, 23rd, 24th, 30th and 31st.
On the 17th and the 24th, organizers are also running “kids’ haunts” from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. for younger attendees.
Kumm says her team will be collecting donations at the Haunted Walk to raise money for youth programming at the Bonnechere Union Public Library.
Kumm says she and her husband Robert love hosting the event and look forward to running it every year until they’re too old to continue.
