An array of Pembroke’s council hopefuls took to the stage tonight at Festival Hall to share their perspectives on local issues.
The event, which started at 7:00 p.m. on September 29th, saw 12 of the 14 eligible council candidates in the upcoming municipal election take to the stage.
In one-minute intervals, candidates addressed questions from residents curated by a moderator covering topics like recreation and infrastructure spending, diversity and inclusion, and homelessness and addiction programs.
The summit came one week after a similar debate was held at Festival Hall featuring the six mayoral candidates.
All the candidates encouraged residents to go out and vote on Election Day, October 26, 2026.
