Second Avenue in Pembroke will be closed to through traffic Thursday for sewer service repairs.
The closure will be in effect from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Sept. 24 between Mary Street and Gordon Street.
Only emergency services vehicles and local traffic will be permitted through the area while the work is underway.
The City of Pembroke is advising motorists to follow posted construction signs and use alternate routes. Delays are expected.
The city says the closure is part of ongoing efforts to improve local infrastructure and thanks residents and motorists for their patience.
