The Pembroke Regional Hospital Foundation (PRHF) has recognized a commitment to health care with the Gift of Humanity Sponsorship.
The hospital recognized Barb and Ray Pilon of Canadian Tire in Pembroke has been recognized at the 21st Annual Black and White Gala for helping advance local health care and reinforcing care for patients and families throughout the region.
The Pilon’s agreed that health care is a strong local issue and very important to bring the community together.
They say giving back to the community will always play an important part in their lives now and for the years to come.
“We’re proud to continue supporting the Foundation and its efforts to strengthen local health care,” they say. “Giving back has always been important to our family and our business, and we’re grateful for the opportunity to contribute.”
Gala chair Dr. Christy Natsis says the Pilon’s support helps to ensure excellent health care is close to home.
“Without a sense of caring, there is no sense of community,” Natsis says. “Their generosity helps strengthen the care available to local patients and families while moving the Together, We Care campaign forward.”
Foundation executive director Roger Martin says it’s thorough contributions like the Pilon’s that help improve regional care.
“They (Pilons) have been wonderful supporters of the Foundation for many years, consistently giving back to the community through both their business and personal commitment to local causes,” Martin says. “Their generosity has made a meaningful difference to health care in our region, and we’re grateful to recognize Canadian Tire Pembroke as a Gift of Humanity Sponsor.”
The Black and White Gala is one of the Foundation’s primary fundraising events. It supports the Together We Care campaign, providing funding assistance for a new CT scanner and essential equipment for patients in the region.
