Drivers in Pembroke should expect delays on River Road next week as paving work takes place.
The City of Pembroke says River Road between Townline Road and Bell Street will be reduced to one lane beginning at 6 a.m. Monday and continuing until 5 p.m. Friday.
The work will also result in narrower lanes and some disruptions as paving crews operate in the area. Flag persons will direct traffic through the construction zone.
The city is advising drivers to obey all posted construction signs and consider using alternate routes to avoid delays.
Businesses in the construction and detour areas will remain open throughout the work, and the city is encouraging residents to continue supporting them.
The city says the work is part of ongoing efforts to improve local infrastructure and apologizes for any inconvenience.
