A last-minute decision paid off for Wendy Tabbert, who won $9,617 as the Week 9 winner of the Pembroke Regional Hospital Foundation’s Catch the Ace lottery.
Tabbert nearly missed the draw after realizing ticket sales were closing in less than 30 minutes. She quickly purchased her tickets online and found out the following day that she had won.
It marks the second time Tabbert has won a PRH Foundation Catch the Ace prize, having also been a winner six years ago.
Katherine McLaughlin took home $8,676 as the Week 8 winner.
The latest results come as this year’s lottery continues to set a strong pace, with weekly prizes more than two-and-a-half times higher than at the same point in previous Catch the Ace rounds.
