Wendy Tabbert is the latest winner in the Pembroke Regional Hospital Foundation’s Catch the Ace lottery, taking home $9,617 in the ninth week of the current draw.
The foundation says strong ticket sales pushed the weekly prize well beyond its initial estimate, continuing a trend of higher-than-expected prizes in this round.
Organizers say weekly winnings have consistently reached levels not previously seen at this stage of a Catch the Ace draw conducted by the PRH Foundation.
Proceeds from the lottery support the foundation’s Together, We Care Campaign, which is raising money for priority equipment and technology needs at Pembroke Regional Hospital.
The campaign’s latest goal is to purchase 11 stretchers for departments throughout the hospital.
The foundation thanked everyone who purchased tickets and contributed to the latest record-setting week of fundraising.
