A commercial motor vehicle inspection in the Upper Ottawa Valley has resulted in 14 charges against the owner and operator of a tractor-trailer.
The Upper Ottawa Valley detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police says officers responded to a complaint of a possibly unfit commercial vehicle near the intersection of Highways 17 and 41 on July 8, shortly before 10:30 a.m.
Following an inspection, police determined both the truck and trailer were unfit and ordered them out of service.
The owner and the driver were each served with a summons to appear in Provincial Offences court at a later date to answer a combined total of 14 charges.
