Two people are facing impaired driving charges following separate investigations by the Upper Ottawa Valley detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police.
Police say officers responded to a traffic complaint on Pembroke Street East in Pembroke shortly after midnight on July 20, where a driver was located and taken to the detachment for further testing.
A second investigation began after a collision on Petawawa Boulevard on July 23. Along with an impaired driving charge, one driver also faces a drug possession charge and additional provincial offences.
Both accused are scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke. Police say each received a 90-day driver’s licence suspension, while their vehicles were impounded for seven days.
