Pembroke has a new hockey team that will hit the ice this season to replace The Pembroke Lumber Kings following a legal dispute between The League and the former team owner.
The Pembroke Royals is the new name of the squad and Director of Operations Tanya Tompkins says that it’s a fresh new beginning for the team and Pembroke hockey fans.
The first game of the season will see The Royals face The Brockville Braves on September 27th. More on the new Team as information becomes available.
