Pembroke has closed a section of Lea Street on Thursday to allow crews to complete water service repairs.
The closure is in effect from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. between Reynolds Avenue and George Street. The city says only local traffic and emergency vehicles will be permitted through the area, with signed detours in place for other motorists.
Drivers are being asked to obey construction signage and use alternate routes where possible. The city noted that businesses within the construction and detour zones remain open and thanked residents for their patience as infrastructure improvements continue.
