LumberFest has once again struck a chord for local cancer care, raising more than $5,200 in support of the Cancer Care Campaign at Pembroke Regional Hospital.
The fifth edition of the annual music fundraiser, organized by Jeremy Connor, brought together performers, volunteers, sponsors and community members for a day of live entertainment and fundraising.
This year’s event generated $5,294.25, with proceeds directed toward enhancing cancer care services at Pembroke Regional Hospital.
Organizers say the festival continues to demonstrate how a grassroots community initiative can grow into a meaningful annual tradition, while thanking everyone who contributed to another successful event. The funds will help support access to cancer care closer to home for residents across the region.
