Here’s a look at what’s going on in the town for the next 48 hours!
A lot of people are going to find themselves down at Pembroke’s waterfront over the next couple of days, and it’s easy to see why.
The Pembroke Multicultural Festival kicks off Friday afternoon and runs through Saturday, bringing together food, music and traditions from around the world. Whether you’re trying a new dish, catching a cultural performance or just soaking up the atmosphere, it’s one of those events where you can spend an hour—or the whole day—and always find something new.
Friday evening also features another free Waterfront LIVE! concert, making it easy to stick around after the festival for live music by the river.
Saturday starts with the Pembroke Farmers’ Market, where local growers, bakers and artisans fill downtown with fresh produce, homemade treats and unique finds. It’s a great excuse to slow down, grab a coffee and support local businesses.
Over in Petawawa, the Container Market is open Friday evening and again Saturday, offering another chance to browse local vendors, enjoy some food and catch up with friends. There’s also a Brain Fitness for Active Aging session on Friday, while Saturday features Kids, Cops and Canadian Tire Fishing Days, giving young anglers a chance to learn the basics and enjoy some time outdoors.
That’s your community roundup — more local events coming up tomorrow!
