Here’s a look at what’s going on in the town for the next 48 hours!
Sometimes the easiest way to support a great cause is as simple as picking up your morning coffee, and that’s exactly what Wednesday is all about.
Tim Hortons Camp Day is happening all day at participating restaurants, with every hot or iced coffee sold helping send young people from underserved communities to Tim Hortons Foundation Camps. It’s a small purchase that can have a big impact, and many local locations will also be hosting extra fundraising activities throughout the day.
Once you’ve got that coffee in hand, there are plenty of ways to keep the day going. The Pembroke Public Library has What Will It Be? Wednesday running throughout the day, along with Music Café with Cindy Wheeler at 1 o’clock. In Petawawa, families can learn important skills during the Ontario Power Generation Water Safety Program at 10:30, while teens can roll the dice during Summer Dungeons & Dragons from 2 until 4.
Wednesday evening brings another free concert to the Riverwalk Amphitheatre, where Bernadette Kelly takes the Waterfront LIVE! stage at 7 p.m.
Thursday keeps the summer fun rolling with Story Time at the Petawawa Public Library at 10:30, followed by Summer Art2Start for teens in the afternoon. Back in Pembroke, the library closes at noon as preparations continue for the upcoming Pembroke Multicultural Festival, and the evening wraps up with Treena Hein performing another free Waterfront LIVE! concert at 7 p.m.
That’s your community roundup — more local events coming up tomorrow!
