Here’s a look at what’s going on in the town for the next 48 hours!
Summer evenings are in the spotlight over the next couple of days, but there’s plenty happening before the sun goes down, too.
Tuesday begins with Story Time at Kinsmen Pool at 10:30, giving young families a chance to enjoy stories while spending time outdoors by the water. Over in Petawawa, women entrepreneurs can connect and learn during Thriving in Business: Tools, Funding and Support at 10, while the Seniors Vaccine Clinic gets underway at 11:30.
Later in the day, the Pembroke Public Library hosts Drop-in Board Games from 6:30 until 7:30, welcoming players of all ages for a relaxed evening of friendly competition. Then, grab a blanket or lawn chair and head to the Riverwalk Amphitheatre for Movie Night in the Park. A Minecraft Movie starts at 9 p.m., making for another free family night under the stars.
Wednesday keeps the community spirit going at the Pembroke Public Library. What Will It Be? Wednesday runs throughout the day with a surprise activity waiting for visitors, and Music Café with Cindy Wheeler fills the library with live music beginning at 1 p.m.
The day wraps up at the waterfront, where Bernadette Kelly takes the Waterfront LIVE! stage at 7 p.m. Enjoy another free summer concert, bring a lawn chair, and settle in for an evening of variety entertainment overlooking the Ottawa River.
