One of Pembroke’s longest-standing and most popular family eateries reopened its doors Saturday following the completion of a facelift both inside and outside the restaurant.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony took place at 10:45 a.m. Saturday in partnership with the Pembroke Business Improvement Area and the City of Pembroke. Mayor Ron Gervais presented owners Todd and Mary Fletcher with a certificate commemorating the occasion, while PBIA Director Bethea Summers was on hand to oversee the ribbon-cutting ceremony.
Owner Todd Fletcher says he is very happy with the restaurant’s fresh new look following the renovations.
As part of the reopening festivities, General Manager Adam Gunter announced that 25 per cent of the proceeds from all sales on opening day will be donated to the St. Joseph’s Food Bank.
Nathan Cameron, COO of East Side Mario’s, was also on hand to celebrate the reopening. He says he is very pleased that, while the restaurant has a fresh new look, the décor still reflects what fans of East Side Mario’s have come to enjoy.
Customers can also enter for a chance to win a children’s bicycle by filling out a ballot at East Side Mario’s any time this week. The contest closes Friday.
