The fourth annual Water and Dirt Festival is coming up in just a few weeks in Petawawa, and the town’s manager of recreation and tourism says it’s been significantly expanded this year.
According to Colin Coyle, a whole additional weekend has been added for this year’s iteration of the event.
Coyle says a wide variety of new events have also been added to the festival’s itinerary for this year.
Other new events on the schedule include a guided canoe paddle along the Bonnechere River and two new motorized events including one for motorcycles.
Coyle says the event is a partnership between several different municipalities, and he hopes attendees take it as an opportunity to explore the Ottawa Valley as a whole.
Organizers are also still recruiting volunteers and sponsors for the festival. To see more details, visit the Water and Dirt Festival website.
