The latest Catch the Ace lottery supporting the Pembroke Regional Hospital Foundation is off to a strong start, with organizers reporting a record-breaking opening week and a first weekly prize of $6,210 awarded to a local couple.
Mark and Kim McQuiston won the Week 1 prize as the fundraising lottery returned following the conclusion of the previous campaign, which awarded a jackpot of more than $1 million.
Foundation officials say the opening draw exceeded expectations, generating significant community support and momentum for the weeks ahead.
“We are thrilled with the response from the community,” said Roger Martin, executive director of the Pembroke Regional Hospital Foundation. “The success of Week 1 demonstrates the incredible support local residents have for healthcare close to home.”
Proceeds from the lottery support the Foundation’s highest-priority equipment needs at Pembroke Regional Hospital.
With no jackpot winner yet declared, the prize continues to grow heading into the next draw. Tickets are now on sale for the Week 2 draw, scheduled for June 24 at 10 a.m.
The Catch the Ace lottery has become one of the Foundation’s most successful fundraising initiatives, helping fund medical equipment and technology upgrades at the hospital.
Additional information about ticket sales and draw details is available through the Pembroke Regional Hospital Foundation.
