A 41-year-old Beachburg man is facing several charges in connection with an incident earlier this month when a driver failed to stop for police.
Upper Ottawa Valley OPP say they tried to pull a vehicle over on Mackay Street in Pembroke on June 1st, but the driver sped off, narrowly avoiding a collision.
According to police, they did not pursue the vehicle but they were able to identify the driver. There was a short foot pursuit after police located a suspect the next day.
He faces five charges including flight from police, dangerous operation, and driving while under suspension.
The accused remains in custody, with a court date scheduled for July 10th.
