A Carson Lake woman is taking home the weekly prize in the St. Francis Valley Healthcare Foundation’s Catch the Ace lottery after selecting an envelope tied to a special date.
Deborah Capone, who moved to the area in 2017 and regularly supports the fundraiser, chose envelope No. 1 — her birthday — during the latest draw. The selection revealed the three of clubs, earning her the weekly prize of $768.
Capone says she plans to put the money toward a new garden shed this summer.
The lottery raises funds for local healthcare equipment and services. Organizers say the Week 8 draw features an estimated weekly prize of $800 and a progressive jackpot of about $15,044, for a combined estimated payout of $15,844 if the Ace of Spades is found.
