Here is a look at what’s going on in the town for the next 48 hours!
As we head into a new week, there are a few opportunities to get involved, learn something new, and connect with others in the community across Pembroke and Petawawa.
Monday starts off at the Pembroke Public Library, where a Day Care Visit is scheduled for the morning, giving young children an opportunity to explore the library, enjoy stories, and discover the fun of reading. Also during the morning, the library’s Book Club is expected to gather for discussion and conversation among local readers.
Then later Monday evening, chess enthusiasts can make their way to the Pembroke Public Library for Chess Club, running from 6 until 7:30 p.m. Whether you’re an experienced player or just learning the game, it’s a chance to sharpen your skills and meet fellow players.
Over in Petawawa, Monday also marks the opening of registration for the Petawawa Public Library’s Teen Subscription Boxes program. Teens can sign up to receive themed library packages filled with books and other surprises throughout the program.
On Tuesday, the focus shifts to young anime fans in Petawawa. The Petawawa Public Library’s Anime Club meets from 4 until 5 p.m., offering teens a chance to watch, discuss, and share their favourite anime series with others who enjoy the genre.
Whether you’re picking up a new book, challenging someone to a game of chess, signing up for a library program, or spending time with fellow anime fans, there are plenty of ways to stay connected with your community this week.
That’s your community roundup — more local events coming up tomorrow!
