Members of the Canadian Army will conduct a military training exercise near Deep River Airfield and along the Ottawa River on June 16.
The Canadian Army Advanced Warfare Centre says about 20 personnel will take part in the Patrol Pathfinder Final Training Exercise between 11 a.m. and 8 p.m.
Participants, dressed in combat uniforms, will move through forested areas as part of training designed to simulate operations in austere environments.
The exercise will involve the use of weapons, military equipment and vehicles, but officials say it is not expected to affect businesses, traffic or public services in the area.
Military officials say the training is educational in nature and does not pose a risk to public safety.
Residents may see soldiers moving through the area, observing open fields and studying terrain as part of the exercise.
The Canadian Army says the training helps prepare Patrol Pathfinders to operate safely in populated environments across a range of military operations.
Officials thanked local residents for their continued support of the military community.
