Students from Algonquin College’s Pembroke campus will celebrate their academic achievements as their post-secondary education comes to an end next week.
The campus’ annual convocation ceremony is scheduled for Friday, June 12th.
The ceremony is set to feature more than 250 graduates crossing the stage as well as a video from valedictorian Sarah Dokuchie, a student in the college’s social service worker program.
“Convocation is a meaningful rite of passage for students and an opportunity for families, faculty, and the community to celebrate their hard work and perseverance,” Manager of Community and Student Affairs Jodi Bucholdz said about the event.
“The event brings together the spirit of the College and the community, marking a significant milestone for graduates and acknowledging the transformative power of education.”
A number of students are also set to receive awards when they graduate, including college-wide awards like the Robert C. Gillett Leadership Award and campus-specific recognition like the Annual Award for Excellence.
The convocation is scheduled to begin at 1:00 p.m. on June 12th.
