A 32-year-old Brantford woman is facing robbery and weapons charges after an armed robbery at a Pembroke gas station earlier this month, Ontario Provincial Police said Thursday.
Police say officers responded to a robbery at a gas station in the 1200 block of Pembroke Street West at about 2:10 a.m. on May 13.
Investigators allege a woman entered the store, brandished a knife and demanded cash from an employee before fleeing with an undisclosed amount of money.
The employee was not injured.
The Upper Ottawa Valley OPP Community Street Crime Unit, assisted by the detachment’s crime unit, identified a suspect during the investigation.
Police say the suspect was arrested May 28 by the OPP West Region Bail Support Team.
Miranda Tobias, 32, of Brantford, has been charged with robbery with a weapon, disguise with intent and two counts of failing to comply with a probation order.
The accused remained in custody and was scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on Friday.
