A few years ago, Lisa Cundal adopted a pair of Turkish street dogs, learning as she did about how many dogs live on the streets here in Canada. She began working with the Turkish rescue soon after, and in 2020, she founded Pawsitive Steps Dog Rescue to help take in those animals living on Canadian streets and connect them with people that can open their loving homes to a new furry friend. We spoke with Cundal about what makes a shelter prioritizing street dogs unique and the work they do in the Ottawa Valley.
