With one week to go before one of Ontario’s largest outdoor equipment and infrastructure trade shows arrives in Petawawa, organizers say the event is expected to draw visitors from across the province.
The 2026 AORS Municipal Public Works Trade Show will take place June 3 and 4 in Petawawa, featuring more than 200 exhibits showcasing equipment, vehicles, technology and infrastructure solutions used by municipalities and a range of industries across Ontario.
Hosted by the Association of Ontario Road Supervisors and the Renfrew County Road Supervisors Association, the event is free and open to the public.
Organizers say attendees will have the opportunity to see large-scale machinery, equipment demonstrations and emerging technologies up close, while connecting with suppliers and organizations involved in municipal operations, construction, agriculture, transportation and infrastructure development.
“AORS is excited to welcome visitors from across Renfrew County and beyond to experience this incredible event,” said Cyrus Rife, president of the Association of Ontario Road Supervisors.
“Whether you’re coming for work, curiosity, networking, or just to see some impressive equipment, there truly is something for everyone.”
The event will include a demo booth where visitors can watch equipment and products in operation and learn about innovations shaping industries involved in building and maintaining communities.
Brad Faught, chair of the AORS Trade Show Committee, said the event has expanded beyond a traditional trade show format.
“This show has grown into much more than a trade event — it’s an experience,” he said.
“You’ll find equipment and technology that people may never normally get to see up close, along with opportunities to meet suppliers, ask questions, and explore solutions used across multiple sectors.”
Organizers say the show is also expected to bring visitors into the region, providing an economic boost for local businesses and tourism operators.
Kelly Elliott, executive director of the Association of Ontario Road Supervisors, said the event is designed to appeal to both industry professionals and members of the public.
“Whether you work in municipal operations, construction, agriculture, or simply want to spend the day exploring what’s on display, we invite everyone to come and experience it for themselves,” Elliott said.
Admission to the trade show is free, and attendees are encouraged to pre-register online ahead of the event.
