It’s called the Situation Table and it’s meant to keep people who need help from falling through the cracks. The multi-agency forum brings together 13 different partners across Renfrew County with one shared goal: to support individuals and families in situations where there is an immediate risk to their safety and well being.
Sarah Selle, Clinical Director of Mental Health Services of Renfrew County, says this is a re-launch of the Situation Table, which was originally formed in 2018.
She says Mental Health Services identified the need to bring the Situation Table back, and so it was re-launched in March. Selle says it’s used for complex situations, often involving mental health, substance use, homelessness or victimization.
Some of the agencies taking part include the OPP, Victim Services, Bernadette McCann House and local addiction treatment services.
