In a story posted here late last week, 12-year-old Highview Elementary School student Tesjaveer Persoo was headed to Napanee this past Saturday to compete for the championship of the RCL Public Speaking Competition.
Tesjaveer won first place in the event held at Royal Canadian Legion Branch #137 in Napanee on Saturday, May 2.
This event marked the conclusion of the Legion’s Youth and Education program, which provides students from grades 1–12 the opportunity to showcase their public speaking skills.
Tesjaveer’s parents, Sheshan and Nirmala, who originally hail from Mauritania, say they could not be more proud of their son, who truly gives his all to everything he attempts. Congratulations on a job well done!
