A 38-year-old Pembroke man is facing a series of charges after Ontario Provincial Police say a wanted individual was arrested in the city.
Police say members of the Renfrew County Community Street Crime Unit located and arrested the suspect at a residence on Pembroke Street East on the afternoon of April 24, with help from the Offender Management Apprehension Program and officers from the Upper Ottawa Valley detachment.
Investigators say the accused was wanted in connection with the theft of a motor vehicle reported in Pembroke in September 2025.
Officers say they seized a quantity of suspected illicit drugs and more than 45-hundred dollars in cash during the arrest.
The accused individual is charged with theft of a motor vehicle, multiple counts of possession of a Schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking — including cocaine, methamphetamine, fentanyl, Xanax and ketamine — as well as two counts of possessing proceeds of property obtained by crime under five-thousand dollars.
Police say the accused was held in custody for a bail hearing and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on April 30.
