The City of Pembroke says routine flushing of its water main distribution system will take place from April through November.
Work will run Monday to Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., and Fridays from 7:30 a.m. to noon, with occasional evening shifts in the downtown core and other high-traffic areas.
Officials say residents may notice temporary drops in water pressure, along with discolouration, sediment, or slight changes in taste and odour.
The flushing will begin near the Water Purification Plant and move westerly, followed by work starting from the Riverside Drive area heading east.
Residents experiencing discoloured water are advised to run cold water for up to 15 minutes. If issues persist, the city says to contact its operations department.
