The Ontario SPCA and Humane Society is marking National Volunteer Week by recognizing more than 1,000 volunteers across the province who support animals in need.
The milestone comes as the organization welcomed its 1,000th volunteer this year, with roles ranging from animal care to transportation and events.
Officials say volunteers are vital to daily operations, helping strengthen services for animals and communities.
The Ontario SPCA and Humane Society Renfrew County Animal Centre is currently seeking foster volunteers, as well as help with dog walking, driving and on-site support.
