A 45-year-old man is facing multiple charges following a single-vehicle collision early Friday morning in Laurentian Valley Township.
Ontario Provincial Police say officers from the Upper Ottawa Valley detachment responded to a report of a vehicle in a ditch on Fibreboard Drive at about 2:45 a.m. The call followed reports of erratic driving in a nearby parking lot.
Police say the driver, who sustained minor injuries, was located on foot and taken into custody.
Shawn Power of Laurentian Valley Township is charged with several offences, including impaired operation, failure or refusal to comply with a demand and dangerous operation. He also faces three counts of driving under suspension, as well as charges under provincial legislation.
Police say the accused received a 90-day driver’s licence suspension and the vehicle was impounded for the same period.
Power is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on May 19.
