Ontario Provincial Police say two firearms stolen during a break and enter in Laurentian Valley Township in 2024 have been recovered, but two others remain missing.
Members of the Renfrew County Street Crime Unit, with assistance from Upper Ottawa Valley OPP uniform officers, executed a search warrant at a residence in North Algona-Wilberforce Township on April 8, 2026.
Police say officers seized a .22-calibre rifle and a 12-gauge shotgun during the search.
The firearms were reported stolen following a break and enter at a residence on Joe Street in Laurentian Valley Township during the overnight hours of Oct. 13 to 14, 2024.
Investigators say two additional firearms taken during that incident have not yet been recovered. They are described as a Lee-Enfield .303-calibre rifle and a Winchester 12-gauge shotgun.
Police say no arrests have been made and no charges have been laid at this time.
The investigation is ongoing, with assistance from a Scenes of Crime Officer and the street crime unit.
