The Pembroke Regional Hospital Foundation says a local resident has taken home nearly $30,000 in its ongoing Catch the Ace raffle.
Kim Clark of Pembroke won the Week 41 draw, claiming a weekly prize of $29,388 after her ticket revealed the nine of hearts. The winning entry was selected through an online random generator, with the ticket purchased online.
Foundation executive director Roger Martin credited presenting sponsor OK Tire Pembroke for helping maximize proceeds directed toward hospital equipment. He says more than $1 million has been raised so far, supporting upgrades including IV pumps, surgical chairs, an ultrasound machine and contributions toward a new CT scanner.
The foundation says future proceeds will help fund a new electronic health information system at Pembroke Regional Hospital.
