An emergency road closure is in effect in the Township of Laurentian Valley due to infrastructure repairs.
Stafford Third Line has been closed between Mountain Road and Stoqua Creek Road as crews work to replace a collapsed cross culvert. The closure took effect at 10:22 a.m. Wednesday.
A detour has been established using Mountain Road, Micksburg Road and Stoqua Creek Road.
Municipal officials say properties with civic addresses between 1492 and 1235 on Stafford Third Line remain accessible from Mountain Road. The remainder of Stafford Third Line, from Mountain Road to Highway 41, is not affected.
No through traffic — including emergency vehicles — is permitted within the work zone.
The township says it expects the road to reopen by 5 p.m. Wednesday.
