A local branch office of one of the largest financial services companies in North America celebrated the opening of its new location in downtown Pembroke this week.
Employees at the new Edward Jones office located at 270 Lake Street were joined by Mayor Ron Gervais and MP Cheryl Gallant for a ribbon cutting ceremony on Friday, March 27th.
Gallant congratulated staff members on the new facility’s opening, complimenting the signage they had created and other aspects of the location they chose.
Gervais presented the advisors present at the opening event with a scroll from the City of Pembroke to commemorate the occasion.
Bethea Summers, the Executive Director of the Downtown Pembroke Business Improvement Area, also presented staff with a small arrangement of flowers to celebrate the opening.
Edward Jones offers services including retirement planning, education savings and investment strategies.
The company, which was founded in the United States in 1922, has two offices in Pembroke. Multiple advisors work out of the new Lake Street office.
