Tax time can be stressful for some Ottawa Valley residents, so why not get a helping hand?
The County of Renfrew is offering free tax return assistance for individuals and families with modest incomes, relying on trained volunteers from within the community to make sure local tax filings are done correctly and on time at no cost.
Filing your taxes could help you access important benefits, including the Canada Child Benefit, the Ontario Trillium Benefit, housing program applications, and both Ontario Works and ODSP supports.
Appointments can be booked by calling 613‑257‑7121 or 1‑800‑667‑2617 ext. 3105. Anyone taking advantage of the service are remined to bring the appropriate documents with them, such as your social insurance number, T4 paperwork, rent receipts, and medical expense records.
