Splash Valley earns national spotlight as top family campground

A popular Cobden-area getaway has been recognized nationally as a leading spot for families and campers.

Splash Valley Waterpark and Resort, perched on the shores of Astrolabe Lake just off Highway 17, earned 2026 Campspot Awards for both Top Campgrounds in Canada and Top Campgrounds for Families. The annual awards assess campgrounds across Canada and the U.S., analyzing guest reviews, booking trends, amenities, and overall satisfaction.

Located less than five kilometres east of Cobden, Splash Valley has grown into one of Eastern Ontario’s standout seasonal destinations. Its attractions include a floating water playground, splash pad, laser tag, and nearby hiking trails.

The resort also partners with the Oaks of Cobden Golf Club, offering Stay ‘n Play packages that combine overnight stays with rounds of golf.

Accommodations range from RV and tent sites to cabins and villas, while day passes allow non-staying visitors to enjoy the waterpark and amenities.
