It was a tough year for the Hockey Town Heroes, and Geoff Patterson was there for every puck drop, every play and unfortunately an up-close witness to one of the most dismal seasons the storied team has been through in its long history.
For nearly 30 years, Patterson has been a fixture with the Pembroke Lumber Kings Jr. A hockey club, taking on a wide range of roles including PA announcer at the PMC, Trainer, Community Relations and Marketing Director, Assistant Coach, and Assistant General Manager. Today, he serves as the Voice of the Lumber Kings on both television and radio.
I had the opportunity to sit down with Geoff at the end of the campaign to discuss what happened out there and why.
Thank you to Geoff Patterson for his valuable time and thanks especially to The Pembroke Lumber Kings for another season of “The Great Canadian Game”. Until next year – Go Kings Go!
