The Ontario SPCA and Humane Society has launched the spring edition of its Draws for Paws 50/50 Lottery, offering residents across the province a chance to win a substantial cash prize while supporting animal welfare programs.
The grand prize draw is scheduled for May 7. Organizers say the fall edition of the lottery produced the largest jackpot to date, with the winner taking home more than $144,000.
Tickets start at $10 and are available online, with bundle options that increase the number of entries and chances to win. In addition to the grand prize, four early bird draws will award $2,000 each to ticket holders who purchase early.
Funds raised will go toward the organization’s Community Access to Resources, Education, and Support (CARES) Fund, which provides grants to SPCAs and humane societies across Ontario. The program supports initiatives such as spay and neuter services, veterinary care and improvements to animal shelters.
Officials say the lottery offers supporters a chance to win while helping improve the lives of animals throughout the province.
