Police with the Ontario Provincial Police say a Pembroke man wanted since August 2025 in connection with an intimate partner violence investigation has been arrested.
Members of the Upper Ottawa Valley detachment’s Offender Management and Apprehension Program, assisted by specialized units including the Tactics and Rescue Unit, Emergency Response Team and a canine unit, executed a warrant at a residence in Pembroke on the morning of March 5.
A 40-year-old Pembroke resident was taken into custody without incident and charged with uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm involving a spouse, and two counts of failing to comply with a probation order.
Police say the accused was held for a bail hearing and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke at a later date.
Authorities say the Offender Management Apprehension Program targets repeat offenders considered a risk to community safety and aims to deter further criminal activity. Police also remind residents that support services are available for anyone experiencing domestic or intimate partner violence.
