County staff are asking heavy haulers heading through the Ottawa Valley to steer clear of some vital roads this spring.
The County of Renfrew will be strictly enforcing seasonal bylaws restricting vehicle loads to 5 tonnes per axle on local roads they care for effective now through to Sunday, May 31st, unless otherwise notified.
Motorists can expect signage erected along affected roads, and haulers should get in touch with the appropriate road authority if unsure about which municipal roads are under spring load restrictions.
A list of local roads subject to the restrictions is available on the County of Renfrew’s website.
