No people were hurt but it’s believed three dogs have died in a house fire just north of Eganville this morning (Tuesday Feb 24). North Algona Wilberforce Fire Chief Kevin Chamb says the house, located on Highway 60, is a total loss.
The family that lives there was not home at the time the fire broke out, but sadly their pets are believed to have perished. Chief Chamb says the cause of the fire has not been determined but an investigation is underway.
