The Ontario Provincial Police says it’s partnering with the Petawawa Public Library to host a public presentation on fraud and scam awareness next month.
The Upper Ottawa Valley detachment will lead the session, which will focus on cybercrime, mass marketing fraud, romance scams and emergency scams, along with other common schemes and tips on how to avoid them.
The free event is scheduled for March 10 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the library, located at 16 Civic Centre Rd. in Petawawa.
Police say no pre-registration is required and the session will include a question-and-answer period.
