Shortly after polls closed at 9 p.m. on election day, Feb. 27, 2025, early results started to roll in, prompting cheers from candidate Billy Denault’s supporters gathered at the Clarion Hotel in Pembroke for the Progressive Conservative Party’s election night event.
He has served as an Arnprior city councillor since 2022 and previously worked in accounting as a staff accountant with a local firm. Now elected as MPP for Renfrew-Nipissing-Pembroke, Denault’s life has changed in ways only few can imagine.
Coming up on the one year mark of Denault’s election, he sat down with me at the myFM studios to talk about some of the highlights and insights of his first year in office.
