A 30-year-old resident of Bonnechere Valley Township is facing multiple charges following an intimate partner violence investigation by the Ontario Provincial Police.
Officers with the Upper Ottawa Valley OPP responded to a reported domestic dispute at about 9:45 p.m. on Feb. 13. Police say their investigation determined an assault had occurred, property was damaged and threats were made. The probe also included a previous incident reported to have taken place in the fall of 2025.
The accused has been charged with spousal assault, two counts of mischief and two counts of uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm. The individual was held for a bail hearing and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke at a later date.
