Heather Inwood-Montrose, Small Business Advisor with Enterprise Renfrew County, represented the first hint of spring as we spoke about the opening of the annual program intake.
Two flagship program offerings focused on business development training are returning once again. One is geared toward student-run summer opportunities for those who will be returning to school in the fall. Heather explains:
The Summer Company Program includes coaching and mentorship, with assistance in registering businesses, as well as a $3,000 grant to get the ball rolling.
The second offering is called “Starter Company Plus,” which is geared toward adults who are not returning to school and have aspirations of owning their own business and need a helping hand out of the gate:
Inwood-Montrose calls both programs “transformational,” but stresses that there are only a limited number of seats due to grant constraints.
