International Women's Day Campaign Banner & Poster - Promoting Inclusion and Inspiration.
The 2026 annual Women’s Day Luncheon is right around the corner, and this year it will fall on Friday March the 6th, two days ahead of the actual date of March 8th which marks International Women’s Day.
Christine Mitchell is both the manager of Economic Development for The Town of Petawawa and a Board Member of the Upper Ottawa Valley Chamber of Commerce who are putting together this year’s luncheon as always. There’s a new venue this year as the event has been steadily growing in popularity for many years now:
Aligned with the 2026 International Women’s Day theme, When We Give, We Gain, the luncheon will gather business leaders, entrepreneurs and community members to highlight the power of generosity and collaboration. Organizers say the event underscores how investing in women through mentorship, advocacy and opportunity helps drive shared economic growth and strengthens communities as a whole.
The goal, says, Mitchell is to have 100 attendees and as of this date just over 50 percent are sold. Even though it is a Women’s themed event, Mitchell stresses the luncheon is open to anyone who wishes to attend:
Among the changes this yea will be a small vending corner in the expanded venue where some light shopping can be done from women led businesses. The keynote will be delivered by Debbie Fredricks of Bump Coaching whose speech, says Mitchell, will be very much in line with the spirit of the day.
The keynote is sponsored by Enterprise Renfrew County with the Title Sponsor being Canadian Nuclear Laboratories which also happens to coincide with CNL’s “Women In Nuclear Day”. SOPA restaurant will be providing a culturally diverse buffet for attendees to enjoy on this very important day.
Early bird tickets (until February 15th) are $40 plus taxes and fees. After February 15th, ticket rates increase. Sponsorship opportunities are also available. For more information click on the link below.
