As cold, wintry weather continues throughout the Valley, the timing for the third annual “Soup Fest” couldn’t be more perfect.
On Saturday, February 7th, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., you can sample piping-hot soups from local eateries. According to Bethea Summers, Executive Director of the Pembroke Business Improvement Area, there will be a total of ten entrants this year, all vying for the coveted Golden Ladle Award.
The venue is at 18 Pembroke Street West, and the event is growing year over year. Last year saw six entrants; this year there are ten. “It’s a great way to stay warm and support local restaurants as well,” says Summers.
Early Bird tickets are sold out, so the cost is $20 per person (tax included). Tickets can be purchased at downtownpembroke.ca or in person at the BPIA office at 130 Pembroke Street West. Tickets will also be available at the door unless sold out online, so get yours today!
The invaluable support of this year’s Soup Fest sponsors deserves a mention, and Bethea is grateful for their involvement.
See you Saturday!
