Local hockey fans will have a chance to enjoy seeing the Pembroke Lumber Kings on the ice and raise money for healthcare next week.
The Central Canadian Hockey League junior A hockey team has announced its “Hockey Fights Cancer” fundraiser has officially been rescheduled for February 11th.
The game, which will see the Lumber Kings take on the Cornwall Colts at the PMC, was originally scheduled for January 25th before being postponed due to poor weather.
At the game, fans in attendance will be able to place bids on players’ game-worn jerseys. 100% of the proceeds will be donated to the Pembroke Regional Hospital Foundation.
The Lumber Kings currently sit at the bottom of the CCHL standings with nine wins, 26 losses, one overtime loss and one shootout loss.
Puck drop for the fundraiser game is at 7:00 p.m. on February 11th.
